| Vista Home Premium | Vista Crashed and SP2 Installation Failures So, I bought a Dell XPS 2 weeks ago, and I have been living through a constant and steady stream of failures that typically (90% of time) result from two actions: 1) Unplugging external devices (iPod, external drive, card reader, etc) will result in immediate blue screen/ crash dump 2) Sleeping/ shutting lid will result in blue screen/ crash dump upon waking/ opening lid I see A LOT of threads on this, but never seem to find a real answer. I have been trying, and filing to update SP2 in hope the problem would resolve itself but that has failed because SP2 cannot find a driver (really wish it would tell me which one). Anyone out there who can assist or is it better that I scrap VISTA and go back to XP? |
