Vista - Ready Boost?

Ok,
Here's one I haven't tried yet.
Have more than one usb slot; if I connect more than one flash; can Vista use
both for Ready Boost?
Or is it just one at a time?

Just one at a time, has to be a good high speed USB 2.0 device as well.

You can use regedt32.exe and navigate to HKLM\software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\EMDMgmt
and take a look at read and write speeds (and other info) of your various
flash drives that you have plugged into your system.

Are ya tryin to tell me that Vista can use more than one flash for ready
boost at once?
I'm a little confused; cuz I have no issues with speed,compatability etc.
Just a little befuddled.

No, this current version of Vista only uses one at a time, a future version
of Ready Boost might use more than one. You will see a history of inserted
memory items in the registry key I mentioned.
Also a future version of Ready Boost might use Ram that is located on a
networked computer other than the computer Vista is running on.

Gary,

That brings up an interesting concept....instead of stopping at
"grid-computing style RAM sharing", it'd be intriguing to see a future
version of Windows that has true grid computing baked in. The user could
"tell" Windows which PCs to utilize and in which order (fastest first,
slowest last). As CPU and memory resources are consumed on the primary
machine, Windows could offload work to the other machines in the order that
the user specifies. This would especially be useful when Gigabit ethernet
becomes more pervasive in the consumer market.
