| | USB keyboard and mouse disabled after sleep mode I have a usb wireless HP keyboard and a kensington usb trackball that will not come back on after I bring the system back from sleep mode. It looks like all the USB ports are disabled. I've tried unplugging the devices and plugging them back in and that doesn't do anything. I have to completely reboot the system to get the devices back. |

| | Re: USB keyboard and mouse disabled after sleep mode The best way to avoid this problem is to not use power-saving modes that cause problems. Likely HP will update their drivers and resolve the issue at a later date. | | Re: USB keyboard and mouse disabled after sleep mode Naw - my USB keyboard and Mouse (both MS devices) are set to "Allow xx to wake the computer" mode and they still fail to do so when Vista RTM is put to sleep. Sounds like a Vista bug to me. "Richard G. Harper" wrote: > The best way to avoid this problem is to not use power-saving modes that > cause problems. | | Re: USB keyboard and mouse disabled after sleep mode I have a USB mouse and speakers, and usually one or both of them fail to work on wake-up. Definitely a Vista bug. | | Re: USB keyboard and mouse disabled after sleep mode For me it works too - try looking into your BIOS and check what it says about USB and ACPI (the power safing features). Let us know if playing there helps. |
