When I set the Defragmenter to defag at a specified date and time it never does because where is lists the "next scheduled run" is has listed "never" and I don't know how to get rid of the "never"

Scheduled tasks can get missed if the PC is not on that the time. In any case I had similar issues with the Vista defragger, I switched to an automatic third party tool that does the job even as I work on the PC.
