Vista - Event viewer error

I was going to check the evnet viewer for a problem and I got the message
event Log service is unavailable. Verify that the service is running. I
check in the services and application and it isn't even listed there.

What next.

Hi Kent,

The Event Log entry will be shown as "Windows Event Log" in the Services
listing. See if starting the service helps.

Thank you for your response. I can't check it now as I removed the
installation because of to many weird things happening. I will re-install
after the holidays and try again.
