Aero

I bought Home Premium because of the aero , and i can´t see it. I think
there´s something missing in my computer but don´t know what it is. I try
everything but it doesn´t work. Can any one explain me what i need to have in
order to see aero in my computer. And please be very clear and simple because
i don´t know that much about computers language.

Thanks a lot,
Corie

RE: Aero

Corie,

I found the same issue after I installed Vista. It has to do with your video
card. Your video card does not meet the minimum requirements to run Aero.
Unfortunately, in my case, I am not sure that I will be able to update the
video card in my laptop, but oh well, I still like what I've seen so far.

Corie, what graphics card do you have in your computer? And how much RAM
does your computer have?

Re: Aero

Right click on a blank area of the desk top.
Select Personalize
Select Display settings
Select Advanced settings
All you need to know about the adapter should be showing.
CANCEL (Not OK) to close windows without messing your settings.

500 Meg of RAM is low for Vista, let alone Aero.
I squeak by (Aero) with a FX5200 (128M) because I have over 1Gig of
RAM.
What is interesting, it provides a pleasant experience (not slow or
jerky). But then I do not play any game more system stressful than
Freecell :^)

Re: Aero

Corrie

The Intel 915 video chipset will never support Aero.. you would have to buy
a video card, presumably AGP, for your computer.. you may be better advised
to install more RAM as 512mb is the absolute minimum..

Re: Aero

After the last message i call to compusa and the guy told me that in fact i
need a card. but when i got there other guy told me bou that i don´t need
that and that i should call the place from where i bought the computer and
ask for the devices. i came back home and did it, spend like 30 min and it
turns out that i have all the devices. now i´m lost and still can´t see aero.
