| Guest | can't get computer to sleep.. When I firsy got this pc I was able to get it to sleep. Now just the monitor will sleep. I read most of the suggestions I found in here. With Device manager, the only thing that should wake the pc is the mouse and keyboard ( not wireless) I went through each one seperately. The power options are set to 20 minutes for the monitor and 1 hour for the pc , these are the settings I had when it was going to sleep. I have the pc set to " performance" for power option instead of" balanced" and " power saver". Is there something I'm missing? It's not a big thing, but I will go crazy till I figure out what is going on. I have vista ultimate , amd anthlon(tm) 64x2 dual core processor 5000+ 2.60ghz 2 gig ram, 64-bit os. Darrin |

| Guest | RE: can't get computer to sleep.. Well what do you know.... I solved my mystery. It appears that when you use Disc Cleanup it may disable your computer from going to sleep. On the microsoft site it said to click start, click accessories, right click command prompt then type "powercfg -h on". It worked. Hope it helps someone else.
