Any Comments about SATA drives in Beta 2?

It seems my hard drive is running quite a bit, especially when playing
games. It might be I need more memory to keep it from having to page (1 G
installed) or there is something about the SATA drivers that isn't quite
right yet.

Thanks,
Clark

It could be harddrive indexing too. Try disabling indexing and see if that
affects. You can disable it from secondary clicking harddrive, select
properties and from there.

I ran the game off an IDE drive and it did about the same thing. I will
install more memory and check, but it may just be the game and Vista.

Thanks,
Clark

Re: Any Comments about SATA drives in Beta 2?

I just added another Gig of RAM and it looks now like the hard drive is
running much less. The BF2 game started right away and I did not have to
wait 30 seconds for the hard drive to stop running. I can only guess the
thing was paging because 1 gig of memory was not enough in my present
configuration. I of course, could be wrong.
