all my programs on vista run fine untill i try and play word of warcraft
all is ok untill i move then my laptop will shut down

Just a rough thought about this. World of Warcraft requires about 500 mbs of
Ram, and Vista Home Premium needs 1000mbs. Do you have one and a half gig of
Ram?

Lack of RAM will not cause a bluescreen. A bluescreen means the kernel has
experienced a fault of some type. Nvidia video drivers have been know to
cause a STOP with a BCCode of 116, so I would see about updating them first.

Do you know what is the cause for BCCode 8086. I have the same unexpected shut down problem. When it shuts down, I'm always doing something else or using some program, so I don't know why it happens. Any ideas?

Hi Eva,

A stop error code, or BCCode, generally just indicates the type of error and
is not specific enough to pinpoint the cause. A listed module or examination
of the dump file that is created will generally be a better indicator of the
actual problem.
