why the icons on the desktop are so big,can i change it into small size like
16*16?

Right click on desktop select view and classic icons. These are the
smallest.

Click a blank part of the desktop, hold down CTRL on the keyboard, and use
your mouse scroll wheel to adjust the icon size to whatever you like.
