Re: Vista vs AVG Free

It's a known problem with AVG. Re-download the file, go to install it, but
stop when it gives you the name and key#. Copy that, paste it into a notepad
file. Restart, and when AVG comes up with the register prompt, you can click
register and enter in the name & key from the notepad file. That should get
it registered. Other than that, it seems to be a PITA to get it removed
correctly.

Re: Vista vs AVG Free

I recently removed my avg free version and added my avg pro version and had
no problems with either of them during the install or the uninstall. I am
running Vista Home Premium with 2gb ram with the aero features disabled.
