| | Re: Vista vs AVG Free It's a known problem with AVG. Re-download the file, go to install it, but stop when it gives you the name and key#. Copy that, paste it into a notepad file. Restart, and when AVG comes up with the register prompt, you can click register and enter in the name & key from the notepad file. That should get it registered. Other than that, it seems to be a PITA to get it removed correctly. -- Dustin Harper dharper@vistarip.com http://www.vistarip.com -- "Hwolfe" <Hwolfe@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B3879EEC-68C8-4DF9-946B-A3DC7D889D85@microsoft.com... > > recnetly down loaded Vista. | | Re: Vista vs AVG Free I recently removed my avg free version and added my avg pro version and had no problems with either of them during the install or the uninstall. I am running Vista Home Premium with 2gb ram with the aero features disabled. "Brendan" wrote: > Had the same problem when trying to remove AVG professional.
