Vista - Windows Update is broken

I just tried WU and it comes back with an error: Code 80245003 and the 'Get
Help' lists codes but this one isn't amongst them.

Does anyone have a clue what this error code means?

Try again at another time. The servers are probably just busy and
you're getting a timeout error.

I forgot to add that this has been happening for 3 days no matter what time
of day I try.

Follow up to my own post:

I fixed this by turning off Windows Update service and renaming the
SoftwareDistribution directory. Restart the WU service and it works again.
