XP Beta 2 - running extremely choppy after I installed it. p4 3.2ghz gateway
machine, 512m of ram. Should be running OK but the mouse sticks and goes,
sticks and goes like something is constantly accessing the processor or
memory or something. Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem on my desktop machine, totaly unusable.

My specs are:

Athlon 64 3200
1Gb RAM
200Gb Hard Drive
2 x Gigabyt GeForce 6600GT in SLI.

Any way you could borrow and try some extra memory. On my machine, it seems
like Vista takes about 400 megs just sitting there. I had one gig and one
of my games was having problems. I added another gig and the game got much
better.

Is the hard drive running quite a bit on your systems?

I guess you could also go back and try the Windows Classic desktop to see if
it helps. I have a Nvidia 6800 GT video card and it seems to be working
fairly hard using the Aero glass.
