Reg key for Complete PC Restore

Hi,

Anyone remember how to make a reg key so that Vista will also see; and
allow Complete PC backups to be written to a cd drive?
Did it before, in the beta, with Jill Z's help; but it's been so long; I
forget.

Any help?

Jeff

Re: Reg key for Complete PC Restore

Ok here is the key:
Under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Backup\Client
add
AllowCDMedia
of type REG_DWORD and set it to 1.

Re: Reg key for Complete PC Restore

Jill,

Thanks SOOO much,
long story short, upgraded my sisters Dell 8600 laptop to Ultimate, and her
NEC 5100A dvd burner is defective, will see and burn cd's but not dvd's.
Thanks again
:-)
