Saved contact info

When I click on the first letter of a contact's name, an entire list of
names from replied addresses appears. How can I delete these
names/addresses? I have my Address Book up-to-date so there is no reason for
these past addresses to keep re-appearing. Help is appreciated!

And...when I go to certain web sites info is auto entered from previous
searches. Can these be deleted?

Found one answer - I removed the Browsing History and stored info, but this
doesn't seem to solve the Mail issue.
