For the last 2 days I have tried to update Windows Vista. but when it reaches
"Security update for Capicom (KB931906) (66%) updates hangs-up. I have given
it hours, but to no avail. I cannot cancel installation!

Download the update directly from microsoft and see if you can patch without
using windows update.
