Internet Explorer Crash

i bought a laptop with windows vista pre-installed. i find it strange that
my Internet Explorer crashes everytime I exit the program. There's this
message that pops up saying my current application stopped and that Windows
is trying to look for a solution to the problem, in which case I click on
cancel. It doesn't have any effect on the other programs. It's just that
it's a bit annoying having an unnecessary window popping up like that
instead of the application just simply closing down.

Any suggestions on how I could stop this?

RE: Internet Explorer Crash

Hello

I had the same problem before, this caused by third party software may
incompatible with vista. I just figured out the root cause by performing
clean boot, therefore, i think you also could try this method. please refer
this website.

Using msconfig you can make the computer unusable if you select the wrong things or settings, just make sure the part your about to disable or enable is not system related.

A better solution is a copy of your error message so we can help you more specific to the problem your having.

Re: Internet Explorer Crash

Hi Edward,

Go to Tools/Internet Options/Programs tab, click the button to manage
add-ons and disable non-Microsoft ones. See if the crashes stop. If so,
start re-enabling a few to see if it returns. When it does, you'll know that
the problem is one of the add-ons you just enabled.
