Vista - Links not opening browser

Right now if I click on a link that should lead to an opening browser it does
not work. For an example. Right now I have the following pop-up for my Media
Player that I am also trying to fix...

" Media sharing has been turned off because a required Windows setting or
component has changed. For additional assistance, click Web Help. "

However, when I click on web help nothing happens. Also if I am in Windows
Help & Support, and I click on a link that should take me to an outside
browser to say Microsoft's website. It also does not open... Anyone, please
help me on fixing this issue... Thank you much!!!

Have you gone to Control Panel > Default Programs and set IE to all its
defaults?
