| | Re: WEI rating decrease after installing more ram If you're running an nVidia 6100, my bet is it's on the motherboard? If so, you might want to check the BIOS and see how much RAM is allocated to it. If you have 4 sticks of 1Gb RAM (sounds like you do), I'd also try moving the two new sticks into the slots currently occupied by the two original sticks (i.e. swap them around). | | Re: WEI rating decrease after installing more ram yes, I'm running an integrated nvidia 6100 and the shared mem is 495mb. And I tried swaping the ram as you suggested but no change. thanks for the reply -- Amd.64x2-4200 (FIC k2BC51) ge6100 4gb 250SATA "Dana Cline" wrote: > If you're running an nVidia 6100, my bet is it's on the motherboard? | | Re: WEI rating decrease after installing more ram That's just weird and I have no explanation for it. Normally adding memory makes things go faster, not slower... I guess the only other thing I know to try is to pull one stick and see if it's faster with 3Gb...
