remote access with microsoft vista

today while on the phone with a microsoft professional, said professional
asked for access to my computer because my pushing buttons didn't seem to be
solving the problem. I allowed the access -- all seemed to be going well, she
Deepika Tresa was going thru files and programs to "solve" my problem, 1 and
a half hours later I need to go teach a class. This professional and I agreed
we would meet back up tomorrow between 2-4pm. Simply restart my computer and
she or another professional would call tomorrow. My computer never came back
up. All is lost - gone - vanished. Question: am I a complete idiot for
allowing the remote access or was my professional for deleting everything I
had on my computer or worse did someone steal everything off my computer?????
Someone help me please. I am dead in the water!!!!

Re: remote access with microsoft vista

Hi,

Describe "My computer never came back up".

To me it sounds like you have a hardware problem. I seriously doubt that
anyone at Microsoft Product Support or any of the major OEM's would
intentionally damage your system.

Re: remote access with microsoft vista

Hi,

If it's only two months old then it's still under warranty. Contact the
manufacturer as they are obligated to fix it. Microsoft doesn't do that, the
system manufacturer does. I would suggest you contact someone knowledgable
enough to recover any data you wish to save before bringing it in for work.
