RE: I cannot make my computer faster!

The quickest and cheapest way to speed up your PC would be to add more RAM.
You're running Vista Ultimate with 512MB, which is the minimum amount
required. Jump up to 1GB and you'll see an improvement. If that doesn't speed
up your machine enough, you might want to try upgrading your CPU to a
dual-core processor.

Another thing to consider... viruses. Your system may be full of junk, do a
full malware scan to see what you can find.

But regardless of anything else, you need to add RAM, 512MB just isn't
enough for Vista Ultimate. That's the requirement on paper, but in "real
life" you need at least 1GB.

RE: I cannot make my computer faster!

To further what was said here (JMM - nice handle btw), make sure you also
check for adware/spyware. All are not often found by using one scanner. I
tend to favor AdAware (free download www.downloads.com) since it updates
regularly. Make sure you do not have a ton of startup programs. Most
installations seems to think that they are really important and should be
started when the computer boots up, though most are not. You can most likely
configure these programs not to run at startup from their respective options
menus. Antivirus and firewalls should be left to run at startup.
500M of RAM should definitely be upgraded for Vista.
