Vista - Blue screen, major slowdown in processing, error messages

I frequently get a blue screen with a severe error message and something
about crash and dump . . . what is causing this problem?

The whole system is extremely slow - takes a long time to open anything,
much slower than XP I came from. Why?

Every time I turn on my system I get 2 error messages - one says "eDSloader
has stopped working" and the other says "Sorry! Unsupported Operating
System". Both have an OK button to click which I do then go on with what I
would normally do. Any suggestions?

Apparently you have a version of Acer support software that is incorrect for
your system: http://www.file.net/process/edsloader.exe.html The program
needs to be either updated or removed.
