Vista - MsMpEng.exe Windows Start Delay

Hi.

If I check in Control Panel\Performance Information and Tools and then under
Advanced Tools I get a warning on top saying that MsMpEng.exe is slowing down
the startup process.
This MsMpEng.exe is connected to Windows Defender as far as I know but even
if I turn off Defender the error remains.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

Hey Tommy,

I've been noticing this process going off daily causing some CPU usage...
it looks like it is the OneCare Antivirus program scanning your drive
possibly. If you go into to Live OneCare, Settings and stop and turn off
scanning for viruses and spyware the process stops... I don't recommend it
but wanted to let you know.
