Vista - Ultimate vs. Nero: Don't initialize!

It was so obvious I couldn't get it in the first place! Spirit, there's NEVER a disc in the drive. Never leave one, and when I do and remember it being there, I take it out! Sorry for the mess.

when that happens.. Eject the tray... nero is awful in vista... Even with the codecs it installs...

But there are no good codecs for vista 64. THe vista codec pack is only good on x86. The x64 Support is not good.

Anyways.. Eject the tray even if it doesn't have anything.

Thanx highlander. Seems the problem's been solved. Killed everything and started with another clean install! That was the only way I saw it. I'm using the x86 version of Ultimate anyway. Now everything seems to work out fine, with Nero and all. I have K-Lite codec pack installed. Never trusted the Vista pack. I have problems with the initialization though. Now and then, Vista simply does not enter, keeps frozen in the "Welcome" screen after boot. I have to press/hold Power button to start over. Sometimes it takes three boots until everything is up and running again. Thinking about returning the lappie (Toshiba A200 TR405, Canadian) for I think the boot is too slow and Toshiba logo stays for 15 seconds! Vista is ripe with bugs. Thank you again for your time.
