New machine new Vista but hanging

Recently bought a new machine with Vista already installed and it won't stop
hanging, it usually lasts about 30 seconds and is very frustrating. Does
anyone have a fix or know where I might get one

Cheers

Re: New machine new Vista but hanging

Bernie;
If the computer is new and in warranty contact the manufacturer for
support or possible return if they can not make it right.

My guess is part of the problem is all the trial ware and other
garbage running at start up.
Also insufficient memory may be an issue.
1 GB - 2 GB RAM is what many need but it depends on what you do.

Bernie

If this is a new machine, I would be hot on the trail of the vendor that you
bought it from. This is not acceptable for a brand new computer.

Re: New machine new Vista but hanging

Think Drivers, especially Video. If no joy look at startup programs -
MSCONFIG.
If still no joy think HARDWARE - MEMORY FIRST.

Re: New machine new Vista but hanging

A reminder came from another thread. Look for drivers at your system maker
AND/OR your
motherboard makers. Video, HardDisk and others.....
