| | Registry Scanner for Vista 64-bit Does anyone know of a registry scanner for Vista 64-bit that actually works properly. I have purchased three none that work. The ones that load do find the bad entries, but when they fix the registry, they blow up my OS. |

Recent versions of Windows don't need registry cleaner. |

| | Re: Registry Scanner for Vista 64-bit I would take this as a hint and quit using such software. It is of dubious utility for the normal user and, as you have discovered, prone to cause system problems unless used by someone with fairly advanced computer skills and/or for a specific clean-up reason. -- Richard G. | | Re: Registry Scanner for Vista 64-bit The best one is none at all. The only people that should be using registry cleaners are the people that can look at the results, understand what they see, and be able to determine that it is safe to remove an entry the software says is bad. Any other use and you can eventually expect the results you received. -- ---- Crosspost, do not multipost http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 How to Post http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "jemw" <jemw@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3237489D-D3A9-49EF-9FDC-C61448E82D8B@microsoft.com... > Does anyone know of a registry scanner for Vista 64-bit that actually > works > properly.
