| | Delete Backup from Recovery (D:) I unwittingly created a partial user data backup on the Recovery (D driveon my relatively new but now fully personalized and loaded PC. I say partial because it stopped when the drive filled to capacity (approx 10 gb). After I got the "out of space" notice, I realized I had created the backup on a partitioned hard drive, not on a seperate physical one. Duh me! I tried to see if I could delete the backup, but the Recovery Partition is "Protected by PC Angel" and does not allow me to view the files contained therein. I do not want to do a factory recovery, so is there possibly another way to delete the misplaced backup? |

| | RE: Delete Backup from Recovery (D:) Question asked and answered by the originator (that'd be me). The backup wasn't created in the protected recovery folder afterall. It was hiding in plain sight so-to-speak. I deleted the backup and recovered my disk space. I can live with the invalid system restore points until they are buried by new ones that are created daily. If you're reading this, thanks for your interest. | | Re: Delete Backup from Recovery (D:) Hi, pcrider_nva. Thanks for letting us know. While it may be embarrassing to admit a simple error, posting the problem and solution here just might keep someone else from a similar misadventure. ;^} RC -- R. C.
