Updates Vista / HP?

Hi,

I have 2 optional updates:
Conexant - Sound - Conexant High Definition Audio
nVidia - Video - NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600

When i install them, than the HP-update SW tells me that they have to be
upgraded.
If i executed them via HP-update than Vista says me again that i can install
these optional updates?

Somebody any experience with it?

Thanks
Huib

Re: Updates Vista / HP?

Hi,

The rule of thumb with device drivers is simple. Do not upgrade them unless
you are having trouble with the existing set or want to take advantage of a
new feature. When you do upgrade them, get them from the device
manufacturer, not Windows Update (which are often several versions old).

Re: Updates Vista / HP?

Hi,

The version is on the appropriate tab in the properties of the hardware in
device manager.
