hi..every time i start up my computer,it will make it as far as my login
password then shut down automatically and restart.. it will keep doing this
until i interrupt it while it starts so that i can manually start the
computer at the last successful login in point.ive read that viruses have the
same effect but ive recently installed an antivirus program. is there a way
to fix this? much appreciated..

Hi Theresa,

Were you trying to install something prior to this happening?
Have you tried running System Restore to rollback the system to a prior
state?
