Vista Tutorial - Windows Exlporer is slow.

Hi,

Whenever I double click into my computer or anything that opens windows
explorer (ie rubbish bin etc) it always takes a few seconds to load. But with
everything else it is fast. I've got Windows Ultimate with Intel E6600, 2gb
ddr 2 ram, 8600Gt graphics. My index score is 5.3. What could be causing this
slow down?

Also most of my programs do not start at startup such as windows live
messenger but when i go into msconfig it is ticked in the box. is there
something im missing?

I have the exact same problem. Sometimes if you try to open the windows
explorer, it can take a long time to fullfil the action. But also sometimes
it works good. What i personally guess where it has to do with, My computer
is a member of a domain. And guess it tries maybe to search within the mapped
drives or so?

Are you in the same situation or? And did you already found a solution?
