Chkdsk Utility

When I turn on my computer I get a error message that says:The File or
Directory C:/Windows is corrupt and unreadable. Please run Chkdsk Utility.
I am not very good at computers so can ANYBODY help me fix it?

Much Appreciated,
Mary

Re: Chkdsk Utility

Do you have a Vista Installation DVD? It has a Repair option, whether it be
the Upgrade or Full version. You have to boot from the DVD to use it. See:

How to automatically repair Windows Vista using Startup Repair

Try the "Repair your computer" > "System Recovery Options" > "Startup
Repair". I believe it will run Chkdsk for you...
