Start up error in Vista Ultimate

I keep getting this error message before the login screen, "ls delete
program not found skipping auto check".

Does anyone out there know what this could indicate? I have already run a
disk check

Re: Start up error in Vista Ultimate

Have you used a program to delete a file, or files, at boot? Or have you
used a defragment program that runs at boot? Anything along those lines?

Re: Start up error in Vista Ultimate

I use Diskeeper Professional but don't know if it runs at boot. I do know
that the engine runs in the background. Should I discontinue the service?
Or even better what would be a good utility to use with Vista? I uninstall
programs using the conventional means Add/Remove Programs under the Control
Panel

Re: Start up error in Vista Ultimate

Using the Registry Editor, go to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

In the right-hand pane, what is the value Data for "BootExecute"? Is the
Data for that entry exactly this :

autocheck autochk *

or has other stuff been added after the asterisk?

This may help as to your problem:
