Vista Media Center does not "see" my video files

Vista media Center says it found the files and proceeds to load them. But,
when I go to video library , the folder I have pointed to is there but there
are no videos (0).
I have re-encoded them all as .wmv (advanced profile) any thoughts?
My Music and pictures seem to be fine.
