Shutdown :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

My computer takes ages to shutdown but that isn't really the problem. When
it shuts down (which it takes too long) when it does it restarts
automatically. Even if I don't login it does the exact same thing.

What can be done about this??

thank you

luke

Re: Shutdown :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to My Computer | Properties | Advanced System Settings | Startup and
Recovery

Remove the check from Automatically Restart. Close down the windows and
shutdown the computer.

Now if/when your system crashes upon shutdown you will be presented with the
Blue Screen of Death. Carefully write down what the message is and post the
message here. Someone will be able to give you guidance.

From personal experience this is usually a driver issue, occasionally
hardware, but not that likely. Like the fella said, tell it not to restart
automatically and you will be able to deduce what is causing your issues.
