Vista - screen probems

im using vista home basic on a Dell inspiron 1501. there is only half a
screen showing. if i press back of the lid the screen appears then
disappears, im not much use at computers so any help would be appreciated !

There is a mechanical problem that needs to be fixed or replaced by a
qualified technician. If it's under warranty, contact Sony for a work order
and vendor recommendation. Otherwise, seek out a reputable repair shop.

Hi Rick, thanks very much for getting back to my question.. I have rung Dell
and am awaiting a call back from them. Thanks again!
