"Your copy of windows is not genuine"

I keep getting this message in a pop up. I've gone to the website and
validated my copy several times, and it doesn't seem to be taking effect. I
can't run any of my programs because of this. It has to be genuine. Vista
came standard with laptop when we purchased it. It also says that Aero isn't
working because of this. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Re: "Your copy of windows is not genuine"

Thank you for the reply. I looked at the link you provided, but none of those
pertain to me. I bought my laptop from walmart, so I really don't see why it
isn't genuine.

Hello Casey,

You might have better luck here:

Microsoft staff there should be able to assist you. Do read the 'Please
read before posting' and FAQ sections first.
