    hello all
can someone please tell me what a good (pagefile) size is on vista (64bit) home pre? i have 2gig of memory installed and meanly use the system for (Media Center). it plays ok but everynow and then when taking it down from fullscreen it runs in slow mo for about 30 sec to maybe 1 min then plays ok again ? the pagefile says (2047) and recommended (3067). can i set it higher and is it realy going to help or should i get more memory? i also have readyboost running 3.74 gb

    Hey

Set you page file to 3 times that of your memory.

6gig or 6144 and the min size to 1gig or 1024

I would let Vista determine the size of the page file.

The size Windows wants it to be. Don't mess with it, it will grow as
    needed.

Re: what's a good pagefile size

Why would you not change it. Vista has a recommended size? Im just asking because I really don't know that much about the pagefile size. I also have 2gb of ram, and was curious is upping it really made any difference.

    Thanks,

    Aaron

For most the best setting is System Managed.
    Let windows manage the size.
