Public Folders

Wondering if anyone else has experienced symptoms as follows:

1. Transferring 756mb from client to server over GB network:

- Takes 20-30 seconds when copying from a standard location.
- Takes 4-5 Mins when copying the file from an Offline Folder (My
Documents - Redirected).

Following is a screenshot that illustrates the issue, first part was
transfer of the file from the non-offline location, with the second
from the offline store.

Our client has been complaining about the performance issues when
accessing network files, although it always worked ok when we were
onsite.

We've not come across this and considering that the client needs
offline capabilities, we need to find a solution.

We've applied the latest update patches, which included

Anyone shed any light on the Offline Folder changes that might cause
such a network slowdown.

Cheers,

Paul MacNeill

Re: Public Folders

Sorry, not sure why I named the Subject Public Folders - it should
have been "Offline Folder - Performance Issue"

Cheers,

Paul.
