wont stay on aero setting

All requirements are met but It wont stay from basic to aero in the settings
box. I click aero, the screen does a fad, but it goes back to basic. What
gives?

Re: wont stay on aero setting

I would guess that the installed graphics card doesn't fully support aero
or you need to update the drivers for the graphics card?

Go to Start and click on Help and Support. Type Aero in the Search box and
press Enter. Click the "Troubleshoot problems with Windows Aero" link.

Had the same problem. Check to see if you have Quicktime installed or
running in the system tray. By chance, I closed it and Aero came back ASAP.

RE: wont stay on aero setting

Yep, it was the quicktime I had installed. Just close it and aero comes back
on. Thanks
