You getting the most L2 cache in Vista?

Gday guys

Vista x64
E6600
DQ6
4gb Ram

I been using Yamicsoft "Vista Manager"as a tweaker for Vistax64" it's the only one I know that is native x64. Ohters are an "x64 emulated"32 version

In the options for ram and disk cache options it say "Vista only cannot set the L2 cache and is set at 256kb". You can manually select up a variety of sizes up to 4mb."

Do you think Vista is crippling our CPU's? (not intentionally). I mean 256kb is an 6% of the 4mb available.

What is to be gained by having the full 4mb available?

Happy to hear thoughts.

I am definitely impressed with this tweaker, enough to actually buy it after trial.

cheers
