re: Vista defrag sucks....

I don't believe I read one answer to why Vista defrag seems to suck for
these people.

Vista defrags in the background, when your system is up, but you aren't
using it. If you don't believe me just boot up and listen, without starting
any programs or doing anything.

I used another defrag program the other day to check, it told me my system
was 99% unfragmented files.

ps if that's not an improvement, you tell me why not....

Re: Vista defrag sucks....

Well in my case, if i do not defrag twice a week, then i got alot of fragmented files..

So i use Auslogics right now, because i tried Raxco and Diskeeper, but none to my satisfaction..

I explain:

Raxco if defrag is needed say everyday at 03.00AM so when i am asleep, my screen stays active ready to use, but i want it to come on password...

Sure Raxco told me to alter 'Hybernation" because it would not run when on password, but then your pc is ready to use...i do not want that.

Diskeeper is nice, defrag while you are on the pc, but this does not bother in any way. Diskeeper does not tell you when the MFT is defragged....Raxco does.

So, right now the perfect defragger does NOT exist.
