Black screen

When i boot up Vista it does the normal boot up sequence but when it reaches
the welcome screen it say welcome then the screen turns black like it about
to load the desktop. Then it just stays black and does nothing i have left it
for about 30 min still no change is there any other solutions to this??.

Re: Black screen

Do you hear the fan and hard drive operating or does it sound like the
system has shut down?
If it is operational and you have no display, reboot your computer and press
F8 before windows loads.
Choose safe mode. If you have a display in safe mode then you might have a
resolution issue and you should right click the desktop, choose personalise
and choose display settings. Set to 1024x768.
Go to Control Panel> system> device manager and check the status of your
video adaptor. If you see a question mark you could have a corrupted
display adaptor driver after a windows update. Right click the
adaptor>properties>driver tab>select roll back driver. Reboot.

Re: Black screen

Il is probably a problem in your Windows, look in Without Failure Mode, if
you can boot with him,
it is a Hardware Problem, if in Without Failure Mode, Windows don't want to
run, it's a virus, or
something like that. If Windows boot in Without Failure Mode, reboot and
then select the
Without Failure Mode with Network Taken Care and Download Ewido Anti-Spyware
and
Hijack This and Clean your Computer !!!

If with this, there is Nothing, i think there is nothing to do, except
re-install Vista
If you Wan't to Save your Files, go here : http://webfilehost.fr.tc

This is a International site and they save all your files in their servers
!! This a low price and Totaly Secured !!
Sorry for my bad english (I know that french people are too bad at english)

Re: Black screen

The fan and hdd are working as i can here them, I will try the safe mode and
the without failure. I'm pretty sure i have try safe mode and it didn't work.
i was also able to hit ctrl + alt + del. the task manager pops up and there
is only one thing in process. I'm also wondering can hardware cause this to
happen?
