| | Constant HDD activity. Installed Vista64 Ultimate OEM. Disabled windows search, superfetch, and sidebar. Harddrive activity light blinks constantly. I don't know what is causing this problem, which is itsself a problem. Under windows XP discovering the root of this problem woult take 2 seconds-- launch taskmanager, enable I/O Read Bytes shown under view->select columns..... but Vista has services in a seperate page, which doesn't have this option (i wonder why). Since I haven't installed any software yet, I know its a windows component, but Vista does not give me the tools nessicary to analyze this problem. Help me or buy me a new HDD when this one breaks. |
