| | Print Spooler hangs and doesn't print I have a new HP laptop, 2.0 MHz Centrino duo, 2GB RAM, Windows Vista & new HP Photosmart C7280 printer (on home network). My problem: can't print in wireless mode. The printer is installed correctly and setup for wireless correctly. Whenever I try to print a document (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Wordpad, Notepad, etc.), the print job remains in "printing" status for days. I have tried to delete the job, but can only do so after stopping/starting spooler service twice. The print job deletes, but no printed product. Wireless capability works with XP Pro (on another laptop) flawlessly. Problem is obviously with Vista. Does anyone have any idea how to get documents to print with wireless setup? Thanks in advance for any help. |

| | RE: Print Spooler hangs and doesn't print I had problems getting my HP Photosmart printer to work with Vista. HP has pretty good customer support on line. You can chat on-line with a customer support tech. I had to download new drivers to support Vista. I have also had to contact them several times when my print status gives me error messages. Usually the fix involves unplugging the USB cable to the printer, canceling all the pending print jobs, and re-plugging the printer. I would try HP customer support chat. At least you can get immediate feedback. "eodhandyman" wrote: Quote: > I have a new HP laptop, 2.0 MHz Centrino duo, 2GB RAM, Windows Vista & new HP > Photosmart C7280 printer (on home network).
