Any Known Issues with Lexmark X8350 All-in-One

I just ordered one of these yesterday, I looked it up and confirmed that it
is Vista compatible, just wondering if I should be aware of any problems to
look for when I go about installing it to my computer.

Thanks in advance-Andy

The Lexmark www site has drivers for both the 32 and 64 bit versions of
Vista. The installation process should be trouble free if you follow the
instructions and on-screen prompts. Don't connect the printer to the
computer until the instructions tell you to.

Re: Any Known Issues with Lexmark X8350 All-in-One

Beware! Make sure you get an ironclad assurance from Lexmark that all
functions really do work with Vista, especially on a network. See the
posting by Richard J on 1st November entitled "Lexmark Confirms All-In-One
Center Software For Vista Not Yet Released"

We have a Lexmark X5470 All-in-One and it doesn't work properly - can't get
it to scan when connected to a router, and it won't scan from some computers
even when we connect it directly to the main computer on the network instead
of to the router USB port. Even printing with Vista from any computer on the
network takes ages - to detect the printer and then to print.

RE: Any Known Issues with Lexmark X8350 All-in-One

My Lexmark X8350 works fine for most functions but when I access the
Productivity Suite "Manage Documents" or "Manage Fax History or all-In-One
Fax Settings" I get and error message "The program you are trying to run is
missing. Please re-install your software." I have installed the latest
Lexmark driver cjr8300N but the problem still exists.

I've been trying to resolve this with Lexmark for over a year with no
success. They keep telling me to reinstall my software which I have dont
many, many times with no success. I have dowloaded the latest Window Vista
32 bit driver with no success. I have had no other problems with the printer.
