| | Cannot reinstall HP J5750 after crash and reinstallation of Vista When I first attempted to reinstall the 5750, I saw the program was to be installed on C drive with the Vista. I had marginal room on C and stopped the install which caused it to freeze. I had to use task manager to clear it . On the next install I received a Runtime error with the note "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support for help". Another note states ""The extended attributes are inconsistant". I've tried numerous restarts with the assistance of HP without success. HP said it was a Vista issue. The 5750 with its software worked before the crash. Is there any kind of fix without a complete reinstall of Vista?? I would really appreciate any help. Herb |
