Kodak 5300 problems with Windows Vista

I installed a Kodak 5300 on my laptop that has Windows Vista. When I plug
the USB cable into my laptop my wireless capability is disabled. Any idea
how I can fix this? The only way to get the capability back is to unplug the
printer and restart my computer. If the printer is left plugged in the
computer won't shut down and won't restart. Any suggestions?

Re: Kodak 5300 problems with Windows Vista

Hi Warner622. May I ask what brand labtop you have? This issue is very interesting and I have a 5300 as well and I would like to look into this. Things you could try, If you have the printer hooked to a side USB port try a rear USB port. or If you have a USB hub try hooking it to you labtop and connect the printer through that.
