Dell A940 all in one?

Hi all, i've been trying in vain to get a older Dell A940 all-in-one printer to work with my new home built Vista 64 system. I had no problem getting the printing to work. But i can't get the scanner to work. I was curious if anyone here used this printer/scanner and how to get scanning again.
Pushing the scan button on the actual A940 does nothing. This trusty printer worked perfectly on XP and i wasn't quite ready to buy a new one yet.

Edit: I figured out that Windows Fax and Scan works perfectly as a substitute for the software that came with the printer in '03. Hope this helps someone else. Thanks. :-)

Is the A940 fully supported under Vista? Check on the Dell Support website
to find out.

Re: Dell A940 all in one?

I'm not sure Kevin, but i got scanning working using Vista's built in Windows Scan and Fax. The printing drivers Vista found worked great from the get go. This huge boat of a printer still works so i saw no need to buy a new one just yet.

According to the Dell website at
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&catid=&impid=,
they do not support the A940 on 64 bit Vista, only on the 32 bit.
