Download and install the Vista drivers found there. You will probably have
to uninstall the driver you are presently using and start the installation
from the beginning. Don't connect the unit until the software is installed.

First of all, try telling us which version of VISTA you are using since
the Home versions do not include Fax & Scan.

Then how the device is connected to the PC.
