Vista Driver for HP OJ6110

My OJ6110 can not print Thai text correctly - wrong position and strange
symbol. HP help desk advised to chnage paper setting to "other photo
injet paper" even using normal plain paper. This solves the printing
problem.

But printing is slow and consume alot of ink.

Other problem is you can not found OJ6110 in Safely Remove Hardware
list when you want to disconnect the printer. So, if I pull out the USB
connector, window still show it as ON LINE instead of OFF LINE.

Are there any new driver or better work around solution.

Re: Vista Driver for HP OJ6110

The HP Printing Diagnostic Utility was created to diagnose and fix many
common issues preventing printing from the computer:

Re: Vista Driver for HP OJ6110

Ken,
I don't know if this will solve your print problem.
I am assuming you already found/searched this link.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/p...&lang=en&cc=us

Afa not seeing the h/w I have a OJ6310 and when I installed the aio s/w an
HP folder was created under start/programs.
Under the list is an option Uninstall. I know HP can be clueless a lot of
times when it comes to support.
Hope this helps.

Re: Vista Driver for HP OJ6110

Carey,

Thanks for your advise. I have try the HP Diag. The test is positive
but I still have same problem. A few weeks ago, I got a new update for
HP OJ6100 (DOT4USB) via Window Update but it always fail to install.
Error 80070103.

I'm always sceptical of hardware related updates like this on Windows
Update especially when they don't appear on the manufacturer's (HP in
this case) website.

Re: Vista Driver for HP OJ6110

I also have this printer, and have 2 Windows Updates for it hidden.
Dated 7/27/2007 and 01/09/2008

I don't intend to install them, unless they sneak in via SP1.

Let's hope not.

What really irritates me with Windows Update on things like this is the
click on they give you for more details which for MS updates links you
to KB articles and other useful background but with these hardware type
updates you get no useful information about when the update was
released by the manufacturer or what it is intended to do.

Re: Vista Driver for HP OJ6110

This usually means that it is a driver already installed or not suited to
your hardware. Check on HP's site for an update and do not try to install
the one Windows/Microsoft update is offering.
